OREGON & ALASKAN BITEFINDERS
Fishing in ALASKA:
Kenai King/Chinook Salmon: May 15 - July 31
Silver Salmon and Pink Salmon: August 1 - September 15
Rainbow Trout and Dollies: August 1 through October
The Kenai River in Southwest Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula is the world-class destination for King Salmon. The World Record, weighing in at 97.6 lbs, was caught in the Kenai River.
Bitefinders pride ourselves on our King Salmon fishing! We use only top notch guides who all have the same goal in mind: catching the new world record! Even the dozens of 60-pound fish taken from this beautiful river each year is an exciting adventure!
We also fish the Kasilof River just south of Soldotna. This is a drift boat only river and can be a very peaceful and tranquil way to spend the morning catching those Kings!
Bitefinders guides regularly catch above average size rainbows and dollies. 5-pound rainbows are the norm! Dollies range in excess of 10 pounds and are voracious feeders which makes these fish a blast on a flyrod!
Fishing in OREGON
Oregon Steelhead: January through April
Oregon Salmon: May through December
Oregon Sturgeon: All Year
Because Oregon is our home state, we have a lifetime of fishing experiences and are very skilled in fishing rivers all over our state.
We start with Winter Steelhead in January and fish them until April. Then we switch gear and key in on salmon fishing them all the way through the end of December.
Don't forget year round sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River! Whether we are fishing for oversize or keepers, it is always a fun-filled, exciting day.
